What Resysta Is
Resysta is a composite material manufactured from rice husks, common salt, and mineral oil — a combination that produces a product with the visual character of tropical hardwood and exceptional resistance to moisture, UV, and biological degradation. It contains no wood fiber and does not absorb water. Unlike standard composite decking, which uses wood fiber as a core component, Resysta's rice husk composition makes it inert to the moisture conditions that cause wood-composite products to swell, delaminate, or support mold growth.
Resysta is appropriate for applications where the appearance of natural wood is desired but the performance demands of the environment — coastal exposure, pool deck moisture, or high UV — make natural wood or standard composite products a less suitable choice. It can be cut, drilled, and fastened with standard woodworking tools, making it easier to work with than Ipe or other dense tropical hardwoods.
No Wood Fiber
Resysta contains no wood fiber — it does not absorb water, swell, rot, or support mold growth from within the board.
Wood Appearance
